The Backyard Brawl has long been a great rivalry but this one was little more than just a blowout for the Cavemen. The first quarter was a close match as the Kingsmen lead 15-12 at the end. For the Cavemen Brayshawn White lead the way with 6 points and for Penn Drew Lutz had 10pts including going 5 for 6 from the charity stripe. The second quarter is where things took a turn for the worst. Penn outscored Mishawaka 27-8. Beau Ludwig and Noah Applegate combined to score 17 points for the Kingsmen. Down 42-21 the Cavemen could not get anything going on offense while the big three of Applegate, Ludwig, and Lutz scored all 23 points for Penn in the third. Both the Penn and Mishawaka would coast out the rest of the game letting some reserve players get minutes. When the final horn merifully blew for the Cavemen the score was 75-51 in favor of the Kingsmen. The Cavemen will be hoping to bounce back against Plymouth on the 26th.

Leading Scorers: Lutz 22pts (Penn), White 12pts (Mishawaka), Grant Jablonski 12pts (Mishawaka)

Box Score: 1st 2nd 3rd 4th F

Mishawaka (7-6) 13 8 11 19 51

Penn (13-3) 15 27 23 10 75
