MIshawaka High School (MHS) has had some extreme changes this past season. Alongside all the teams having great seasons, the department had new staffing.
The department got a new athletic director, Evan Fras, as well as an assistant director, Darek Deshone. MHS also got a new Varsity Girls Soccer Coach, Mike Bultinck, as well as a new Boys Tennis Coach, James Bayer.
Football ended the season being undefeated in the Northern Lakes Conference (NLC) with a record of 10-2. The Cavemen made it through two rounds of Sectionals. Mishawaka defeated NorthWood and Plymouth, but fell to St. Joe in the Sectional Championship, ending their 2025 season.
In addition to football, the MHS Volleyball team also had a strong season. With five seniors on the team, most of whom plan to play volleyball after high school, the team achieved a record of 25-8 (5-2). In Sectionals, MHS started with a bye, then went on to beat La Porte 3-2 in a 5-set match. They made it to the sectional finals but ultimately lost to Penn High School with a score of 3-1 in a 4 set game.
Both of MHS's soccer teams were in season this past fall. The boys' team ended with a record of 4-12, while the girls' team had a record of 5-12. Both teams lost in the first round of sectionals.
Lastly, the boys tennis and girls golf teams had challenging seasons with limited members. The girls' golf team has a record of 4-8, while the tennis team had a final record of 0-6.
